health programme is conducted regularly at Nandigram under the name
of Tristariya Swasthya Shibir (T.S.S.). It is a 3 days' residential
camp conducted once a month mostly on 3rd Saturday, Sunday &
Monday. As the name itself suggests, it is aimed at complete health
preservation (i.e., physical, mental & spiritual) hence naturally
at prevention of all ailments. It teaches & demonstrates the
ways of rectifying the existing faulty life style.
H. O. rightly defines the health as "not mere absence of the
diseases but physical, mental, social & spiritual wellbeing."
So the purpose of T.S.S. matches with the above definition. In short,
T.S.S. can contribute to convert the person into an ideal human
if sincerely followed. This is the cherished goal of the institution
& a dream of Pujya Shri Makarandbhai Dave.
activities of all three- physical, mental & spiritual levels
are included in the camp
* For physical health - Yogasanas, Pranayam, Ayurvedic massage &
steam bath, accupressure massager bed & pyramid therapy are
